My Process
I teach mind-body awareness through a combination of therapeutic movement, inner exploration, and integration. By reconnecting with our bodies, we can become more aware of the two-way relationship between our thoughts and emotions.
We often look for outside sources to guide us, however, deep inside we know that we must slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and listen to our inner voice. This is rooted in the premise that the body, mind, and spirit form an integral human being, compared to the dualistic concept of body and mind as opposite, independent parts of our being.
I encourage a deeper connection with self, assisting clients to increase their awareness of what's happening in the mind and body, enhancing the ability to: identify and manage triggers; reset the stress cycle; and connect to your innate wisdom. This will ultimately guide you to greater overall well-being and fulfillment in your life.
Practicing the exercises I teach will enable you to tune-in to the more subtle physical sensations of your body, and often less accessible thoughts and feelings, creating an opportunity for exploration, learning, and growth. Throughout our time together, I will act as a witness and guide, creating a safe environment, with empathy and positive regard for your experience.

Meet Dr. Shari Taylor, PhD
Several years ago, I had a life-changing experience that motivated me to embark on an ardent journey of personal and spiritual development. Through extensive study of the mind-body connection, I learned to be with, and listen to my body.
I realized that through movement, exploration, and integration, I could show others how growing this awareness enables us to live with a better sense of clarity and authenticity, readily accessing the wisdom our body can provide us.
I believe in embracing the mind-body connection, and share what I have learned to help people live a more balanced and fulfilled life. I focus on the mind-body connection because I have found that many of us haven't been taught how to listen to our bodies.
We know that thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can directly affect our biological function. When we are stressed or depressed we feel it physically, but it's not a connection that we tune in to on a daily basis. Learning to do so directly affects our health and well-being.
