Integrating Mind, Body and Spirit

Mind-body therapy uses therapeutic movement, dialogue and meditation to increase the client’s awareness of what’s happening in the mind and body.
Dr. Taylor offers a place of learning, support, and healing that enables clients to explore sensations and emotions in a safe environment.

Deeply embedded memories or traumas are stored in our bodies. As we move, breathe and stretch, our body opens and unprocessed emotions can be released. Exploring these emotions is key to gaining clarity and finding ease and peace in life.
When tension is stored in the body, a fight-or-flight response occurs, creating more anxious, critical thoughts. Through mind-body awareness, our bodies provide guidance about many aspects of life—from nurturing relationships to enhancing effectiveness at work. Listening to the information from our body enables us to live with clarity and authenticity.

My Philosophy
We have the power to transform our traumas and habits that keep us stuck in perpetual cycles of stress, anxiety, depression, or addiction and step into freedom and peace.

By combining modern brain science with ancient practices such as meditation, I teach people how to become more aware of what's happening in the body through mindfulness practices. I focus on the mind-body connection because many of us haven't been taught how to listen to our bodies. I believe in embracing the mind-body connection, and want to help people live a more balanced and fulfilled life.

We know that our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can affect our biological function. Learning to tune in to this mind-body connection can improve health and well-being. I offer practical strategies to calm our anxious minds, transform negative emotions, and facilitate greater self acceptance, freedom and inner peace.
My primary mission is to help people reconnect to the power of love. Self-love is the starting point for anyone seeking healing.

Over the years, I've learned that emotion means my truth would like to be set in motion — that is, to be fully felt and experienced on a somatic level so that I can touch and feel all the raggedy and smooth edges, lean into the lessons and release the emotions when the time is right.  - Flora Bowley

"Nobody, as long as he moves about among the chaotic currents of life, is without trouble." - Carl Jung

“There is an innate ability to heal, and the therapist’s job is to remove obstacles and create favorable conditions for healing” - Dr. Michael Mitheofer, medical monitor and clinical investigator for MAPS Public Benefit Corporation

“Working with Dr. Taylor has brought me a new dimension in body awareness. I am so much better able to deal with difficulties in life and feel more empowered. After experiencing a traumatic life event, I had lost hope, but working with Dr. Taylor helped me to see myself not as a victim, but as a survivor.”
